Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following their independent beginnings, this debut release for Virgin Records polished the Scottish quartet's anthemic, uniquely Celtic approach to punk energy. Stuart Adamson's heavily chorused, bagpipe-like guitar textures and Richard Jobson's booming baritone established an instantly recognizable sonic signature within the UK new wave movement.
