Album Notes & Community Reviews

Famous for being legendary BBC DJ John Peel's favorite song of all time鈥攕o much so that he requested the lyrics be engraved on his tombstone鈥攖his debut ignited the Northern Irish punk scene. The hyper-melodic, hopelessly romantic title track perfectly distilled the angst of teenage romance into a flawless, three-chord burst of energy. The release fundamentally established the enduring aesthetic bridge between aggressive punk rock and classic 1960s pop songwriting.
