FloriDada

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven by a bouncing, hyperactive synthesizer line and heavily harmonized, Beach Boys-inspired vocals, this track signaled a turn toward manic, neon-colored pop. The song interpolates the drum break from The Surfaris' 'Wipe Out' while lyrically conceptualizing a bridge connecting Florida to the art movement of Dadaism. It was recognized for its relentless, almost overwhelming cheerfulness and incredibly dense, kaleidoscopic production style.
