A dense, hyperactive precursor to the 'Centipede Hz' album, this double-sided single showcases the band pivoting away from sample-based loops toward frantic, live instrumentation. 'Honeycomb' incorporates dizzying Tropicália-influenced polyrhythms and Avey Tare's yelping vocals, layered over bizarre alien sound effects. The B-side, 'Gotham', offers a slightly slower, darker counterpoint, maintaining the incredibly cluttered, maximalist sonic aesthetic.
