Opening with a famously abrasive, shrieking synthesizer squall, 'Peacebone' propels its frantic, glitch-pop rhythms into a surprisingly melodic, highly infectious chorus. Avey Tare's chaotic, surreal lyrical imagery perfectly complements the track's manic, intensely kinetic energy. It effectively introduced the more electronic, sequencer-driven sound that would come to define the band's late-2000s commercial breakthrough.
