Album Notes & Community Reviews
An urgent, euphoric indie-rock anthem warning against complacency and the numbness of sleep, famously commanding listeners to 'hide their eyes'. Driven by a pounding, relentless bassline and sweeping, frantic string arrangements, it cemented 'Funeral' as the definitive album of the mid-2000s indie rock explosion. The song became the cathartic, emotional climax of their highly celebrated live performances.
