Album Notes & Community Reviews

Demonstrating exceptional lyrical control on the trombone, the soloist delivers a gentle, highly expressive performance of a popular parlor ballad. The arrangement avoids the aggressive brass marching band dynamics typical of the era, opting instead for a soft, comforting atmosphere. The recording proves the commercial viability of treating brass instruments as delicate, melodic lead voices.
