Album Notes & Community Reviews
'California Stars' sets a previously unrecorded Woody Guthrie lyric, sung by Billy Bragg with Wilco as the backing and co-writing band, from the 'Mermaid Avenue' sessions. Its gentle alt-country arrangement became the best-known song of that archival project.
