Released as a standalone single, the track finds the London quartet revisiting the angular, high-energy post-punk revival sound of their formative years while integrating darker, atmospheric gothic rock textures. The production features a prominent, mechanical bassline and Kele Okereke’s signature rhythmic vocal delivery, which here adopts a particularly sarcastic and biting lyrical tone. It conceptually addresses modern social posturing and the performance of confidence within urban nightlife environments.
