Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-written with Jacques Levy, this furious, highly cinematic protest epic was directly inspired by the wrongful imprisonment of boxer Rubin Carter. The relentless acoustic drive and Scarlet Rivera's urgent, gypsy-inflected violin work marked a passionate return to the singer's topical, socially conscious roots.
