Album Notes & Community Reviews
Featuring the groundbreaking, heavily amplified playing of Leon McAuliffe, this instrumental fundamentally established the electric steel guitar as a dominant voice in country music. The soaring, incredibly fluid glissandos mimic the drive of a horn section, perfectly complimenting the band's bouncing dance rhythm. It is universally acknowledged as one of the most influential and frequently imitated recordings in the Western swing canon.
