Caroline, No / Summer Means New Love

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released as a solo single prior to its inclusion on 'Pet Sounds', this deeply melancholic track mourns the loss of youthful innocence. The sparse, jazz-inflected arrangement, featuring harpsichords and inverted basslines, concludes remarkably with the sound of a passing train and barking dogs, showcasing Wilson's avant-garde inclinations.
