Phoneglow / Eyes Go Blank

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the Hyperdub label, this split single highlights the intersection of classic UK garage and contemporary footwork. Burial's side features ethereal vocal layering and fractured rhythmic patterns that evoke a sense of urban melancholy and digital intimacy. It conceptually addresses themes of communication and loneliness within a hyper-connected society, prioritising textural density and melodic vulnerability.
