Album Notes & Community Reviews

Propelled by arguably the most fearsome drummer of the era, this swinging anthem also highlights a brilliant, bouncy vocal performance by a young Ella Fitzgerald. The arrangement is tight and propulsive, allowing the singer's pristine diction and natural rhythm to shine against the powerful brass section. The track remains a definitive, joyous masterpiece of 1930s dance hall dominance.
