Album Notes & Community Reviews

Characterized by its swirling, delay-drenched guitar textures and an intensely sinister, atmospheric groove, 'Change' successfully distanced Deftones from the fading nu-metal movement. Chino Moreno's vocal performance oscillates between ethereal whispers and tortured wails, reflecting the track's grim, metamorphic lyrical imagery. Its critical and commercial success established 'White Pony' as a landmark album in alternative metal.
