Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven by a slinky, blues-inflected synthesizer riff, 'Policy of Truth' offers a cynical exploration of honesty and the consequences of revealing too much. Unusually for the group, the song incorporates a prominent, synthesized slide guitar motif that contributes to its dark, moody groove. It became one of the band's most successful crossover hits in the United States, cementing the unprecedented global impact of their 'Violator' album.
