Never Catch Me

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring a blistering, hyperactive vocal performance from Kendrick Lamar, this track brilliantly explores themes of mortality, the afterlife, and spiritual transcendence. The instrumental matches the frantic lyrical pace, blending rapid jazz basslines with stuttering footwork percussion and sweeping piano runs. Its accompanying music video, depicting deceased children gleefully dancing out of their caskets, perfectly encapsulated the song's jubilant confrontation with death.
