Flying Lotus

Biography

Steven Ellison, known as Flying Lotus, is a highly influential record producer, musician, and filmmaker whose work merges experimental electronic music with the cosmic free-form structures of jazz and the rhythmic sensibilities of hip-hop. As the grand-nephew of jazz legends *Alice Coltrane* and *John Coltrane*, he extends a rich musical lineage into the digital age. He is the founder of the independent record label #Brainfeeder#, a hub for innovative and genre-defying artists. His dense, layered albums, such as the critically acclaimed 'Cosmogramma' and the psychedelic jazz-fusion journey 'You're Dead!', have cemented his status as a visionary in modern music.
