Album Notes & Community Reviews
A single from '100 Broken Windows', 'These Wooden Ideas' marks the point where Edinburgh band Idlewild tempered their early punk velocity with jangling, melodic guitar pop. Roddy Woomble's literate, self-interrogating lyric is set against Rod Jones's chiming guitar figures.
