Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released as a double A-side single prior to his debut album 'In Colour', these tracks highlight Jamie xx's mastery of nostalgic, atmospheric dance music. 'Girl' utilizes a prominent sample of Freeez's 'I Want You' over a bouncy UK Bass rhythm, while 'Sleep Sound' explores moodier, shuffling garage textures. Both songs received widespread critical acclaim within the electronic music community.
