Biography
Jamie xx, born Jamie Smith, is an English record producer, DJ and remixer, and the beatmaker of *The xx*, whose minimalist sound he shaped across three albums. His solo debut 'In Colour' (2015) translated UK dancefloor history, from garage to jungle, into euphoric, sample-based pop; after years of remixes and singles, its follow-up 'In Waves' appeared in 2024, confirming him as one of British electronic music's defining producers.
