Album Notes & Community Reviews
A prime example of Kate Bush's narrative theatricality, 'Babooshka' tells the story of a wife who tests her husband's loyalty by writing him letters under an exotic pseudonym. The production incorporates innovative sampling via the Fairlight CMI, most notably using the sound of smashing glass to punctuate the song's dramatic tension.
