Swimming Pools (Drank)

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by T-Minus, the track subversively masks a grim, introspective narrative about peer pressure, alcoholism, and generational trauma within a massive, club-ready trap beat. Kendrick Lamar alternates his vocal pitch to represent his own conscience battling against the allure of binge drinking. Despite its explicitly cautionary message, the infectious chorus ironically turned it into a massive party anthem.
