Baby Please Don't Go / Death Bells

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Offering a profoundly dark, idiosyncratic interpretation of a blues standard, the legendary Texas guitarist weaves fluid, lightning-fast single-note runs throughout the vocal line. The track seamlessly incorporates early electric amplification without abandoning the structural freedom and rural grit of traditional country blues. The B-side further establishes his reputation for crafting haunting, deeply atmospheric original compositions.
