Album Notes & Community Reviews

Transforming a somber, completely traditional gospel hymn into a roaring, wildly celebratory jazz anthem, this track became one of the trumpeter's most requested and deeply enduring signatures. The joyous, completely freewheeling Dixieland arrangement entirely secularized the spiritual for the modern dance band era.
