Alone Again Or / A House Is Not a Motel

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Opening the psychedelic masterpiece 'Forever Changes', this track was uniquely written by rhythm guitarist Bryan MacLean rather than frontman Arthur Lee. 'Alone Again Or' utilizes elaborate Mariachi horn arrangements and intricate acoustic strumming to mask deep feelings of isolation and longing. Its sweeping, cinematic beauty provided a stark contrast to the burgeoning heavy acid-rock prevalent in the late-60s Los Angeles scene.
