Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by a persistent, heartbeat-like drum loop and delicate harpsichord arpeggios, 'Teardrop' achieved massive global resonance. The band originally offered the instrumental to Madonna, but ultimately selected Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser to provide the track's breathtaking, ethereal vocal performance, which she penned upon learning of the death of her close friend Jeff Buckley. It later gained ubiquitous cultural recognition as the opening theme for the medical drama 'House'.
