Massive Attack

Massive Attack is an English trip-hop collective formed in Bristol, pioneered by core members *Robert Del Naja*, *Grant Marshall*, and *Andrew Vowles*. Evolving from the influential *Wild Bunch* sound system, the group revolutionized electronic music with their 1991 debut "Blue Lines". Their sound is a dark, atmospheric fusion of hip-hop rhythms, dub, soul, and cinematic orchestration. Known for their collaborative nature, they have featured iconic vocalists like *Tricky*, *Shara Nelson*, and *Elizabeth Fraser*. From the lush, soulful textures of "Protection" to the claustrophobic, paranoid intensity of "Mezzanine", the group has consistently pushed the boundaries of experimental pop and social commentary.
