Album Notes & Community Reviews

Radically integrating a heavily synthesized, Madchester-style dance beat with the group's signature wall of guitar noise, 'Soon' hinted at entirely new directions for alternative rock. The rhythm loops relentlessly over an extended runtime while layers of feedback and hushed vocals swirl continuously in the mix. It demonstrated a bold willingness to absorb contemporary club culture influences without sacrificing their abrasive, avant-garde sonic identity.
