Biography
My Bloody Valentine are a seminal Irish-English rock band formed in Dublin. Initially a post-punk group, they evolved into the principal architects of the shoegaze genre. The band's classic lineup—Kevin Shields, Colm Ó CÃosóig, Bilinda Butcher, and Debbie Googe—became renowned for a revolutionary sound defined by dissonant, pitch-bending guitar textures, ethereal androgynous vocals, and unorthodox production. After signing to #Creation Records#, they released the influential albums 'Isn't Anything' and the landmark 'Loveless'. Despite a lengthy hiatus and a small discography, their profound impact on alternative and experimental music, influencing artists from *Dinosaur Jr.* to *Slowdive*, is undisputed.
