Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Steve Albini for 'In Utero', the track perfectly executes Cobain's signature loud-quiet-loud dynamics with visceral, agonizingly strained vocals in the chorus. The lyrics are heavily speculated to concern his complex relationship with Courtney Love, utilizing vivid medical, floral, and astrological imagery. Anton Corbijn's surreal, hyper-saturated music video won two MTV Video Music Awards and remains one of the era's most striking visuals.
