Featuring the iconic, jarring introduction of overlapping, ticking clocks recorded in an antique store by engineer Alan Parsons, 'Time' is a devastating existential reflection on wasted potential. The track incorporates Nick Mason's rototom percussion and David Gilmour's soaring, blues-inflected guitar solo. The B-side, 'Us and Them', is a lush, jazz-tinged anti-war ballad originally rejected from the 'Zabriskie Point' soundtrack.
