An unusually accessible, melodic outlier in the Pixies' catalog, featuring a breezy surf-rock guitar hook and sweet, harmonious vocals. Black Francis wrote the song years before the band formed, reportedly inspired by earthquakes and homeless drifters traveling in boxcars. Francis was initially so embarrassed by the track's pure pop sensibilities that he refused to release it on their early records before producer Gil Norton insisted on its inclusion for 'Doolittle'.
