Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Lotus' is drawn from 'Up', R.E.M.'s first album after drummer Bill Berry's departure, and leans on programmed rhythm and neo-psychedelic texture. Michael Stipe's lyric circles fame and self mythologising over a loping groove.
