Album Notes & Community Reviews

Sade's fifth studio album, co-produced by the band with Mike Pela, pares their sound back to spare guitar, bass and brushed rhythm arrangements after an eight-year absence. 'By Your Side' and 'King of Sorrow' carry its muted, lovers-rock-inflected soul, with Sade Adu's low register set against minimal, dub-tinged space.
