Album Notes & Community Reviews
Emerging from the highly distinctive Bentonia school of playing, this eerie, minor-key acoustic performance vividly captures the grim economic realities of the Great Depression. The intensely lethargic pacing and hauntingly ethereal falsetto distinguish it completely from other contemporary regional blues styles.
