The artist had reportedly been attempting to write a song about her since the late 1990s, ultimately settling on a gentle, synth-driven arrangement that frames her as an almost mythical, tragic figure of American ambition. It was notably offered for inclusion in the biopic 'I, Tonya' but was rejected by the filmmakers.
