Album Notes & Community Reviews

A harrowing, fragile centerpiece from the landmark album 'Spirit of Eden', the song abandons traditional pop structure in favor of spacious jazz-rock improvisation. Mark Hollis penned the track as a sorrowful, anti-heroin plea to his older brother Ed, who would tragically succumb to addiction shortly after its recording. The song's emotional climax is delivered via a haunting, wordless arrangement performed by the Choir of Chelmsford.
