Frankie Sinatra

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Breaking a sixteen-year gap between releases, the pioneering sample-plunderphonic group returned with an absurd, carnival-esque hip-hop collaboration featuring Danny Brown and MF DOOM. The track revolves around a manic, bouncing calypso sample of Wilmoth Houdini mixed with interpolations of 'My Favorite Things' from The Sound of Music. While divisive upon release for its goofy, unhinged energy, it re-established the group's legendary ability to seamlessly weave disparate auditory histories.
