Album Notes & Community Reviews

An underground staple that propelled the eccentric Athens, Georgia scene into the national spotlight. Ricky Wilson famously achieved the track's distinctive surf-rock twang by utilizing a Mosrite guitar missing its D and G strings. Fred Schneider's flamboyant sprechgesang delivery, paired with Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson's manic yoko-ono-inspired wailing, created an unprecedented, campy collision of 1950s sci-fi kitsch and punk energy.
