Album Notes & Community Reviews

This pairing showcases the stark creative dichotomy between the band's primary songwriters during their psychedelic peak. Paul McCartney's 'Hello, Goodbye' offers a commercially polished, straightforward pop melody, which John Lennon openly detested. The B-side, Lennon's 'I Am the Walrus', is an avant-garde masterpiece of Lewis Carroll-inspired nonsense poetry layered over orchestral swells, Shepard tones, and a live BBC broadcast of 'King Lear'.
