Album Notes & Community Reviews

Historically momentous for being one of the very first commercial pop recordings to purposefully feature electric guitar feedback. The track opens with a distinctive, howling sustained note created by John Lennon resting his Gibson J-160E acoustic-electric guitar against his Vox amplifier. Beyond its sonic innovations, the song is driven by an infectious, complex guitar riff heavily indebted to Bobby Parker's 'Watch Your Step'.
