Album Notes & Community Reviews

Eschewing traditional melodic structures in favor of an aggressively minimalist, heavily auto-tuned techno-bass beat, the track completely embraced a synthesized, 'futuristic' aesthetic. Its endlessly repetitive hooks and club-ready energy dominated global radio, holding the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for twelve consecutive weeks. The song significantly accelerated the full integration of electronic dance music into mainstream hip-hop and pop.
