Album Notes & Community Reviews

Demonstrating their unparalleled ability to popularize localized tragedies, the A-side recounts a fatal 1890 train wreck with characteristic stoicism and beautiful, intertwining vocal harmonies. The B-side introduces a profound melody that would later be repurposed by Roy Acuff and Hank Williams for massive hits of their own. The record highlights the foundational impact the trio had on the entire architecture of country music.
