Riders on the Storm / Changeling

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as Jim Morrison's final recorded vocal performance, this haunting track is framed by the immersive use of thunder sound effects and Ray Manzarek's cascading electric piano. The moody, jazz-inflected arrangement and chilling lyrical references to a hitchhiking killer presented a deeply atmospheric, cinematic conclusion to the iconic frontman's legacy.
