Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally intended for Gladys Knight, this explosive debut single introduced the world to an 11-year-old Michael Jackson. The track was entirely engineered by 'The Corporation'鈥擬otown's elite team of songwriters and arrangers鈥攁nd is driven by Wilton Felder's descending, incredibly complex bassline. It represents a critical shift for Motown into faster, funk-oriented pop arrangements.
