Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a definitive shift toward mainstream commercial dominance, this impeccably smooth ballad highlights the leader's transition from a jazz pianist to a premier pop vocalist. The gentle, velvet-toned delivery is supported by incredibly tasteful, unobtrusive guitar and bass interplay. The massive success of the single solidified the template for modern, sophisticated post-war crooning.
