Album Notes & Community Reviews
The suggestive lyrics of 'Let's Spend the Night Together' famously caused severe controversy on American television, forcing a frustrated Mick Jagger to roll his eyes while singing the censored line 'let's spend some time together' on The Ed Sullivan Show. The flip-side, 'Ruby Tuesday', offered a stunningly delicate baroque-pop counterpoint, notably featuring Brian Jones playing the recorder alongside an intricate double bass arrangement.
