Album Notes & Community Reviews

Opening with a menacing bassline and Billy Corgan's venomous, a cappella declaration of rage, the track functions as a furious rejection of fame and societal expectation. The song relies on alternating sections of hushed tension and overwhelming, multi-tracked guitar aggression. Its dramatic, deeply theatrical take on grunge aesthetics propelled the band's double album to monumental international success.
