Album Notes & Community Reviews
Issued as a promotional single from 'Machina/The Machines of God', 'Heavy Metal Machine' is the album's industrial rock outlier, its dense, saturated guitar wall and mechanical rhythm a deliberate confrontation with the band's audience. Corgan framed the song as a commentary on the group's own position in rock.
